Abstract

The objective of this research is to develop reading comprehension skills in students of Early Childhood Education I of the Hualcopo Duchicela Basic Education School through the didactic implementation of the repository (Google Sites platform). The research is of an applied, experimental, longitudinal and correlational type. Theoretical research methods are applied that allowed to determine nine skills to develop reading comprehension and the creation of a checklist that is applied before and after the didactic implementation of the repository. The results were processed with the SPSS software where the Cronbach's Alpha and R squared greater than 0.7 were obtained (validity and reliability of the instrument). 78.47% of the students obtained excellent results in the teaching-learning process. The Wilcoxon signed rank test was used, which showed that the didactic implementation of the repository significantly influences the development of reading skills, and the Spearman Correlation Coefficient test, which found that the most significant variables in the study were: remembering what they have read, communicating their ideas effectively and building their own opinions; as well as opportunities for improvement.
