Abstract

The study focused on analyzing the socio-educational measures implemented in Ecuador for the social rehabilitation of adolescent offenders, with the aim of identifying their strengths and weaknesses. The research adopted a mixed methodological approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data. 174 adolescents in the process of social reintegration were surveyed, whose results were analyzed through descriptive and correlational statistics using SPSS. In addition, key regulatory documents, such as the Constitution and the Organic Code of Children and Adolescents, were reviewed to contextualize the measures under a legal framework. The results highlighted the effectiveness of the educational programs, although a significant percentage of adolescents did not experience complete improvements, suggesting deficiencies in their implementation. Furthermore, although the majority were satisfied with the psychological support received, some showed dissatisfaction, especially those with a history of family disintegration. It was identified that criminal recidivism was associated with a lack of post-reintegration support and limitations in educational and employment opportunities. Among the recommendations, it was suggested to strengthen post-reintegration follow-up, integrate educational and work programs, actively involve families and the community, and ensure constant access to psychological resources. To evaluate the feasibility of these strategies, the TOPSIS method was applied, highlighting the importance of recidivism prevention and institutional viability in the effective implementation of the measures.
