Abstract

Process management constitutes a business philosophy for most organizations based on the identification of the added value in each of the activities involved in the process. Scientific journals, with the purpose of adapting to technological changes in the environment, use this process management approach with the aim of improving their management and updating their way of working to increase competitiveness in the market. The general objective of this research is to propose improvement actions that allow management control in the Retos Turísticos Magazine based on the definition of editorial quality indicators. For its development, deductive industrious, synthesis analysis and logical historical methods were used as theoretical methods. As empirical methods and tools: documentary analysis, direct observation, map, process sheet and process flow diagrams. The main results are a list of indicators for quality control of the editorial management of the ¨Retos Turísticos¨ magazine as well as twelve improvement actions focused on the Editing and Positioning Management processes.
