Abstract

Corporate sustainability strategies are the actions and approaches that companies adopt to integrate economic, social, and environmental aspects into their operations and decision-making, in order to ensure their long-term growth and positively contribute to society and the planet. In the Ecuadorian context, the implementation of sustainable strategies has responded not only to global pressures but also to a shift in consumer and societal expectations. However, many Ecuadorian companies face challenges in integrating these strategies into their business models. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the impact of applying sustainability strategies in the Ecuadorian business context, using a qualitative approach based on documentary methods. The documentary review revealed that companies that implemented sustainable practices experienced an increase in their productivityand competitiveness in the national and international market. Furthermore, these strategies contribute to improving social conditions, promoting the well-being of local communities and fostering job creation. In the environmental realm, they contribute to a significant reduction in the ecological footprint. Generally speaking, sustainability should not be seen only as an ethical responsibility, but as a competitive advantage that drives business growth.
