Abstract

This editorial, the fourth, continues to explore how to analyze the conceptual elements, tools, indicators, and opportunities of the new economies that lead to sustainable development in scientific articles, given the errors frequently made in their approach. This time, we will address the knowledge economy. It will address the background and definitions associated with this term, as well as its principles and the sections into which it is divided, analyzing the opportunities and challenges that this new economy represents in the 21st century and beyond. At the end of the article, criteria are provided on the importance of correctly addressing the topic in scientific publications and the most common errors.
