Study of the nodes of the dairy production chain in Ecuador

The dairy production chain in Ecuador faces the need to adopt strategic approaches that ensure its adaptation to changes in the environment, continuous quality improvement, sustainability and optimization of competitiveness in national and international markets. This study aims to analyze each node of the chain, addressing scientific aspects, production processes, quality standards, and proposing recommendations to optimize the efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness of the dairy sector. Based on an exhaustive review of scientific and technical literature, the SWOT analysis of each node considers internal and external factors, highlighting strengths and opportunities. Improvement strategies are proposed focused on promoting the autonomy of producers, sustainable practices, process optimization and customer diversification, underlining the importance of innovation and adaptability to changes in the environment and regulations to guarantee competitiveness and sustainability.
