Propuestas de acciones para favorecer el desarrollo turístico de la parroquia San José de Chamanga en Esmeraldas

Resumen

Para el desarrollo turístico se debe aprovechar al máximo todas las potencialidades que la localidad en cuestión posee, sus recursos naturales y actividades principales que en ella se desarrollan, incluyendo la cultura tradicional. La Parroquia San José de Chamanga, de la provincia Esmeralda, Ecuador posee un alto potencial para el desarrollo de esta actividad, pero no se aprovecha sus problemas de infraestructura y explotación del entorno natural, entre otras, a pesar de sus favorables recursos naturales. En la investigación se caracterizó la localidad con la aplicación de métodos investigativos, determinando sus principales fortalezas, debilidades y oportunidades para el desarrollo del turismo en la zona. Se realiza una propuesta que tuvo como objetivo fortalecer el desarrollo del Turismo en la Parroquia, mediante el diseño y aplicación de acciones encaminadas a guiar los esfuerzos emanados de las autoridades hacia el mejor aprovechamiento de los mismos. Es considerado por los investigadores que el desarrollo de un mayor trabajo en el aprovechamiento de las potencialidades de la localidad hacia la actividad turística, puede permitir un mejor desarrollo económico social de su población.

ABSTRACT

The tourist development of a locality is one of the economic activities that favors its economic and social growth. In this process, all the potentialities that the locality in question possesses, its natural resources and main activities that take place there, including traditional culture, must be fully exploited. The San José de Chamanga Parish, belonging to the Esmeralda province in Ecuador, is one of the localities that has a high potential for the development of this activity but that is not used to a great extent, its problems exacerbated by deficient infrastructure and exploitation of the natural environment, among others, despite its favorable natural resources, it has not allowed it to position itself as a community that guarantees a high standard of living for its inhabitants. In this sense, the investigation obtained data that allowed a characterization of the locality with the application of investigative methods, among which it was possible to determine its main strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for the development of tourism in the area. A proposal is made that aimed to strengthen the development of Tourism in the Parish, through the design and application of actions aimed at guiding the efforts emanating from the authorities towards the best use of them. It is considered by the researchers that the development of a greater work in the use of the potentialities of the locality towards the tourist activity, can allow a better social economic development of its population.
