Current educational competencies: considerations from the integral-cultural formation of the human being

Abstract

The article analyzes the educational competencies necessary for the integral and cultural formation of the human being, in the context of a modern and globalized education. Based on a holistic vision, it highlights the skills and knowledge that contribute to the development of individuals with ethical values, critical thinking and the ability to face contemporary challenges. Competencies include the integration of cognitive, emotional and social aspects, promoting meaningful and autonomous learning. This approach aims not only to train skilled professionals, but also citizens committed to their social and cultural environment. The need for an educational model that addresses human complexity in its totality and promotes competencies adapted to a constantly changing world is considered.
