Risk Management, its treatment for the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Objectives

Rick management, ComplianceAbstract
This article examines the link between risk management and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the face of global challenges such as climate change and conflict. It proposes that risk management is an essential tool for achieving the 2030 Agenda, especially in community contexts. A qualitative and descriptive study was conducted in the "Juanita 2" community of Cienfuegos, Cuba. Through surveys and observation of 25 participants, the local perception of risks and the SDGs was assessed. The results revealed an awareness of global problems, but also a sense of powerlessness and skepticism regarding the achievement of the 2030 targets. As a contribution, the article proposes a plan of four concrete actions: diagnosis of risk dimensions, application of research instruments, identification of risk types, and community training. The ultimate goal is to transform risk management into a systematic practice that strengthens local resilience and activates citizen participation, considered fundamental for advancing towards truly sustainable and inclusive development.
