RESUMEN

Antes del Triunfo de la Revolución podemos alegar que el sistema de salud en Cuba era depauperable puesto que solamente tenían acceso a ello las personas que contaban con algún respaldo económico, siendo estos la minoría y la mayoría quedándose sin recibir atención médica. Es por eso por lo que después del triunfo de la Revolución fue premisa indispensable el sistema de salud para ello gobierno cubano tomó pautas y trazó caminos con el objetivo de convertir al País en una Potencia Médica, con el simple fin que respondiera a las necesidades del pueblo en general sin distinción de raza, sexo, edad o rango social. Se realizó un trabajo descriptivo con el objetivo de sistematizar y profundizar algunos elementos sobre la Historia de la Enfermería en Cuba. Hechos estos tan necesarios divulgar en especial al personal de la nueva generación pues sin historia no hay presente y por ende no se le demuestra el amor y la abnegación que se le debe a una profesión tan bella, humana, solidaria sin esperar nada a cambio y se puede decir más se resume en bondad, delicadeza y una simple sonrisa. La enfermera debe pues formarse intelectualmente para poder responder a las diversas dificultades presentadas en este terreno y para ser así una sembradora de moralidad y de la vida.

ABSTRACT

Before the Triumph of the Revolution we can claim that the health system in Cuba was to impoverish him since only people who had some economic support had access to it, these being the minority and the majority remaining without receiving medical attention. That is why after the triumph of the Revolution was an indispensable premise the health system for it our government took guidelines and traced paths with the aim of turning our Country into a Medical Power, with the simple purpose that it responded to the needs of the people in general without distinction of race, sex, age or social rank. A descriptive work was carried out with the aim of systematizing and deepening some elements on the History of Nursing in Cuba. Facts these so necessary to disseminate especially to the personnel of the new generation because without history there is no present and therefore the love and self-denial that is due to such a beautiful, human, supportive profession without expecting anything in return and can be said more is summarized in kindness, delicacy and a simple smile. The nurse must therefore be intellectually trained to be able to respond to the various difficulties presented in this field and thus to be a sower of morality and life.
