LA DIMENSIÓN ÉTICA EN LA FORMACIÓN DEL PROFESIONAL UNIVERSITARIO.

Resumen

La universidad cada día más está urgida, como los restantes subsistemas de educación, de insertarse en el complejo mundo en el que tiene lugar su accionar y adecuarse a los criterios de pertinencia que ha declarado la UNESCO y a las exigencias que como institución le plantea la sociedad en los marcos de cada país. Este hecho reclama de una posición reflexiva y una actitud abierta al cambio que propicie el ajuste de nuestras prácticas a dichas demandas. Los autores presentan sus consideraciones en torno a cómo debe responder la universidad cubana de hoy a esos retos en la formación de profesionales cada vez más integrales, responsables y comprometidos con su realidad, en los que se combine una sólida preparación técnica y ética. Palabras claves: educación en valores, educación superior, formación del profesional universitario. ABSTRACT: The University is urged everyday more, like the rest of the subsystems of Education, to insert itself in the complex world where its tasks take place and adapt itself to the criteria of “belonging” declared by UNESCO and to the demands that, as an institution, are presented by society within the peculiarities of each country. This fact claims for the adoption of a reflexive position and an open attitude to the change that will lay the ground for the adjustment of our practices to such demands. The authors present their considerations in terms of how today’s Cuban Universities should respond to those challenges in the education of more integral professionals, responsible and committed to their reality, combining solid ethic and technical backgrounds.
