Historical facts about the evolution of the Odontology in Cienfuegos, 1819-2019

Over the years, various historical events have influenced the development of dental sciences and practice in the province of Cienfuegos. However, the knowledge about these events remains incomplete across multiple sources. In this context, the aim of the present research was to determine the principal historical facts related to the evolution of odontology in Cienfuegos from 1819 to 2019. An extensive bibliographic search and a documental review was conducted, and a selection of 18 relevant references, both articles and books, was preserved. The outcomes of this study contribute to the conservation and systematic organization of essential information regarding the historical evolution of dental science in Cienfuegos and its most notable events within the covered period.
