Approach to accountability as a voluntary jurisdiction in Ecuador
Abstract
Accountability, as a jurisdiction or voluntary procedure, contributes to improving decision-making, encourages citizen participation and promotes a culture of responsibility in both the public and private spheres. Accountability should not be a formal requirement, but a practice rooted in organizational culture that has a positive impact on Ecuadorian society as a whole. The objective of this research is to approach accountability as a voluntary jurisdiction. The research was analytical, the qualitative approach, documentary analysis, was used to review elements related to accountability in voluntary jurisdiction. An analysis of Ecuadorian legal regulations that take into account accountability as a voluntary jurisdiction was carried out, as well as examples of how it is taken into account in society.
