Difusión y promoción de la investigación científica en la Educación Superior cubana

Editorial.

 Las publicaciones científicas desempeñan un papel fundamental en la difusión y promoción de la investigación científica dentro del Ministerio de Educación de Cuba. Con casi 100 revistas, en distintas categorías de indexación, en sus más 22 universidades, no cabe duda que se han logrado algunos avances en todos estos años, pero casi todos de forma individual, y aún persisten una serie de alertas en su labor que atentan contra una mejor calidad y sustentabilidad de sus publicaciones. Esto se debe a una serie de causas objetivas y subjetivas que han sido poco estudiadas tanto sus causas, como sus posibles soluciones.

Por tal motivo la Universidad de Cienfuegos, y su Editorial Universo Sur, inician un proyecto de investigación dentro del Programa de Educación Superior para el Desarrollo Sostenible. Un proyecto, para su posible financiamiento, denominado ANALISIS Y MEJORAS DE LA PRODUCCION CIENTIFICA DEL MINISTERIO DE EDUCACION SUPERIOR PARA LOGRAR CALIDAD Y SOSTENIBILIDAD MEDIANTE LA CONSOLIDACION DE UNA RED DE EDITORIALES.

El proyecto pretende consolidar una Red de Editoriales y sus correspondientes revistas en el Ministerio de Educación Superior Cubano (MES) para que de forma cooperada enfrenten los principales retos para una eficiente y eficaz gestión de sus procesos editoriales, creando una estrategia cooperada de alfabetización informacional y producción científica que construyan estrategias transversales e interdisciplinares que permitan localizar, comparar, evaluar, comunicar, difundir, sintetizar y producir información, a la altura de los estándares internacionales de las universidades.

El proyecto se desarrolla del 2024 al 2026 y con este editorial y el articulo No. 1 de este número, donde se explica el proyecto, se pretende llamar la atención a todos los interesados en el mismo, a fin de valorar las posibilidades de unirse a este proyecto. Ofertando la intención a la generación de proyectos internacionales, entrelazados con este a través de acciones conjuntas. De esta forma se puede fomentar una cultura de cooperación entre países, fundamentalmente de América Latina, que permita posicionar las revistas o editoriales en las principales bases de datos y ranking reconocidos por los lectores e investigadores.

Scientific publications play a fundamental role in the dissemination and promotion of scientific research within the Cuban Ministry of Education. With almost 100 journals, in different indexing categories, in its more than 22 universities, there is no doubt that some progress has been made in all these years, but almost all individually, and there still persist a series of alerts in their work that attempt against a better quality and sustainability of their publications. This is due to a series of objective and subjective causes that have been little studied, both in terms of their causes and their possible solutions.

For this reason, the University of Cienfuegos and its Editorial Universo Sur are initiating a research project within the Higher Education for Sustainable Development Program. A project, for its possible financing, called ANALYSIS AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION OF THE MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION TO ACHIEVE QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH THE CONSOLIDATION OF A NETWORK OF PUBLISHERS.

The project aims to consolidate a Network of Publishing Houses and their corresponding journals in the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education (MES) to cooperatively face the main challenges for an efficient and effective management of their editorial processes, creating a cooperative strategy of information literacy and scientific production that build transversal and interdisciplinary strategies to locate, compare, evaluate, communicate, disseminate, synthesize and produce information, at the level of international standards of universities.

The project runs from 2024 to 2026 and with this editorial and article No. 1 of this issue, where the project is explained, we intend to call the attention of all those interested in it, in order to assess the possibilities of joining this project. Offering the intention to the generation of international projects, intertwined with this one through joint actions. In this way we can promote a culture of cooperation between countries, mainly in Latin America, which allows to position the journals or publishers in the main databases and rankings recognized by readers and researchers.
