Red Metropolitana de Participación Ciudadana. La vinculación con la sociedad desde el contexto universitario de la UMET

Resumen

La vinculación con la sociedad es una de las tres funciones sustantivas de la universidad actual, sin embargo, históricamente, es la función con menor número de participantes en las instituciones de educación superior. La realidad ecuatoriana se basa en el concepto de diferentes instituciones y vínculos sociales, lo que explica la falta de identidad para esta función en algunas de ellas. A través de su vinculación con la sociedad, las universidades tienen un desafío para lograr vitalidad en las relaciones dialécticas y productivas con la sociedad. En este sentido la gestión de la relación con la sociedad necesita transformarse en una estrategia para consolidar su desarrollo en la institución educativa; sin embargo, la Vinculación con la sociedad se considera una condición urgente para la legitimación de la universidad con su entorno y el buen vivir de la comunidad. El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo Valorar desde la perspectiva de la Universidad Metropolitana, la relación que existe entre Vinculación como procesos sustantivos y la sociedad, para lo cual se hace un análisis teórico de los elementos que sustenta el proceso, y como se manifiesta en el Proyecto Institucional Red Metropolitana de Participación Ciudadana, en el primer semestre del año 2021.

ABSTRACT

The linkage with society is one of the three substantive functions of the current university, however, historically, it is the function with the least number of participants in higher education institutions. The Ecuadorian reality is based on the concept of different institutions and social ties, which explains the lack of identity for this function in some of them. Through their link with society, universities have a challenge to achieve vitality in dialectical and productive relationships with society. In this way, the management of the linkage with society needs to be transformed into a strategy to consolidate its development in the educational institution; Therefore, the linkage with society is considered an urgent condition for the university legitimation with its environment and the good living of the community. The following paper aims to assess from the perspective of the Metropolitan University, the linkage that exists between linkage as substantive processes and society, for which a theoretical analysis is made of the elements that sustain the process, and how it manifests itself in the Institutional Project Metropolitan Network of Citizen Participation, in the first semester of the year 2021.
