La universidad en el análisis de las facilidades turísticas en el sendero Kuri Pishku tramo cascada de Mundug, Patate

Resumen

La participación universitaria en la identificación y propuesta a las soluciones de las diferentes problemáticas ha permitido concluir en que el estudio de los senderos puede ser adecuados para la actividad turística, especialmente en la tipología del turismo de naturaleza, dando al lugar donde se desarrolla un dinamismo económico y social. El análisis de un sendero supone el conocimiento de las facilidades turísticas que requiere para la satisfacción de los visitantes. En esta investigación se analizó el caso del sendero Kuri Pishku tramo cascada de Mundug en el cantón Patate; identificando y evaluando las condiciones actuales del entorno para determinar una serie de actuaciones que contribuyan al incremento del número de visitas. El propósito fue recuperar e incentivar la conservación del sendero. Dentro de la investigación se utilizó distintas técnicas de recolección de información dirigida a los actores involucrados. A través de la información obtenida, se realizó un análisis e interpretación de resultados permitiendo concluir que es necesario el planteamiento de estrategias enfocadas en áreas que necesitan ser adecuadas en este lugar. Finalmente, este proyecto promueve la práctica de senderismo hacia la cascada de Mundug como un atractivo turístico que debe potencializarse.

ABSTRACT

The participation of universities in identifying and offering solutions to different problems has led to the conclusion that the study of natural trails can be a source of insight in developing tourist activities, especially nature tourism; it brings about economic and social dynamism in the regions where it is practiced. The analysis of trails implies the knowledge of the type of tourist facilities required for the satisfaction of visitors. In this paper, the Kuri Pishku trail, specifically the section of the Mundug waterfall in the Patate region was analyzed. The current environmental conditions of the area were identified and evaluated to set forth a system of actions that contribute to increase the number of visitors. Another purpose was to recover and encourage the conservation of the trail. As part of the research, different techniques were used to collect information about the actuators involved. From the information collected, the analysis and interpretation of the results led to the conclusion that it is necessary to propose strategies focusing on the areas that need to be acclimatized for tourism in this site. To conclude, this project promotes the practice of trekking to the Mundug waterfall as a tourist attraction that should be promoted.
