This study examined the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on project management efficiency in microenterprises in the Ecuadorian Amazon, specifically within the Napu Marka productive network. The objective was to determine to what extent its adoption improves operational fulfillment and to derive guidelines for local development. A mixed, non-experimental, and cross-sectional approach was applied. Data collection included a structured survey based on a Likert scale administered to 102 local entrepreneurs, along with semi-structured interviews with experts for the qualitative triangulation of the findings. Statistical analyses (mean comparisons and linear regression) demonstrated that the use of AI is positively and significantly associated with greater efficiency (p < .001; R²aj = 0.589), optimizing planning and decision-making. Furthermore, the interviews confirmed that technological success depends on its adaptation to the reality of the bio-entrepreneur. It was concluded that its integration, accompanied by associativity, training programs, and governance frameworks, constitutes an effective catalyst for competitiveness. As a practical contribution, the study offers productive networks concrete guidelines for implementing low-cost technological tools that strengthen the rural microenterprise fabric.
