Workload is a determining factor in the well-being and performance of healthcare personnel, influencing both their physical and mental health. In this context, the present study aimed to analyze the relationship between perceived workload and the level of regular physical activity in professionals at a Type B Health Center in the city of Quinindé, Ecuador. The starting hypothesis was that greater work overload is associated with less physical exercise. A non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design was used, with a sample of 44 workers from different areas. The results showed a high level of perceived workload, related to factors such as long working hours, pressure to produce quantity and quality of work, frequent interruptions, and low social support. Likewise, a trend toward lower frequency and intensity of physical activity was observed among those who reported higher workloads. It was concluded that it is necessary to implement organizational strategies that promote healthier work environments.
