Procurement management in transcomplex environments: an adaptive approach for supply chains

Abstract

This article analyzes the importance of information and communication technologies, along with supply chain collaboration, as factors contributing to supply chain management from the perspective of transcomplex environments, which has broad benefits for streamlining supply chains. The work was conducted using a qualitative, documentary approach. It concludes that supply chains constitute an area where collaboration can occur, particularly in the management of information and communication technologies, given the multiple possibilities for integrating the needs and aspirations of several companies with the goal of efficiently using these technologies to digitize and modernize logistics flows, which would contribute to optimizing processes and reducing costs generated by the supply chain.
