Ecodesign of notebooks using the life cycle analysis tool in a Cuban graphics company
Abstract
The general objective of this research is to propose a methodology using the life cycle analysis (LCA) tool to carry out a new eco-design of school notebooks that allows the reduction of the impacts that are generated during their implementation. This methodology based on the family of ISO 14040 Standards has four stages where once the objectives and scope have been determined, an inventory of raw materials and energy is made throughout the notebook production process, with the same and using the Open LCA software and The Impact 2002+ database determines the environmental impacts produced by these productions from the cradle to the grave and once these impacts have been analyzed, a set of improvements is proposed in their eco-design, which are assessed environmentally, technically and economically.
