Social network analysis in the social sciences

Authors

Abstract

The importance of ARS within the Social Sciences has grown exponentially in the last 30 years, creating spaces for the analysis of individualities in their contexts and the interactions in which they are protagonists within traditional structures. The contributions of the analysis of social networks to the investigations constitute the relational dimension of social phenomena that allows visualizing the individual with their relationships from the drawing of a relational matrix and interdisciplinarity. The transdisciplinary nature of the methodology allows the convergence of dissimilar disciplines (sociology, anthropology, history, politics, psychology) and the study of the same research object from different theoretical sources on the basis of a methodological theoretical instrument that sees society in interaction.
