Análisis de la normativa sobre derechos de caninos y felinos en el cantón Ambato, Ecuador

Resumen

La fauna urbana puede ser tanto beneficiosa como perjudicial para los seres humanos, requiriéndose normativas de regulación, cuidado y protección de sus derechos. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar la eficacia de la normativa de regulación, cuidado y protección de los derechos de caninos y felinos en el cantón Ambato, Ecuador. Se llevó a cabo una investigación que se basó en una revisión bibliográfica y empleó un enfoque cualitativo interpretativo. Además, se realizó un estudio retrospectivo y observacional. Para llevar a cabo este estudio, se utilizó una estrategia metodológica que integró diversos métodos del nivel teórico del conocimiento, como el Enfoque Sistémico, el Inductivo-Deductivo, el Analítico-Sintético y el Histórico-Lógico. Se evidenció que es crucial asegurar que la normativa de regulación, cuidado y protección de los derechos de caninos y felinos en el cantón Ambato, Ecuador, esté actualizada y sea adecuada para abordar las necesidades actuales. Esto implica revisar y actualizar periódicamente las leyes y regulaciones relacionadas con la protección animal, teniendo en cuenta los avances en la comprensión científica del bienestar animal y las mejores prácticas internacionales. Los autores concluyen que mejorar la eficacia de la normativa de protección animal en el cantón Ambato requiere acciones concretas para actualizar y fortalecer la normativa, garantizar recursos adecuados, promover la educación ciudadana y llevar a cabo investigaciones continuas para evaluar y mejorar las prácticas de protección animal. Al trabajar en conjunto, podemos lograr una mayor protección y bienestar para los caninos y felinos en el cantón Ambato.

ABSTRACT:

Urban fauna can be both beneficial and detrimental to humans, requiring regulations for the regulation, care and protection of their rights. The objective of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of the regulation, care and protection of the rights of canines and felines in the canton of Ambato, Ecuador. The research was based on a literature review and used a qualitative interpretative approach. In addition, a retrospective and observational study was conducted. In order to carry out this study, a methodological strategy was used that integrated diverse methods of the theoretical level of knowledge, such as the Systemic Approach, the Inductive-Deductive, the Analytical-Synthetic and the Historical-Logical. It became evident that it is crucial to ensure that the regulations for the regulation, care and protection of canine and feline rights in the canton of Ambato, Ecuador, are up to date and adequate to address current needs. This implies periodically reviewing and updating laws and regulations related to animal protection, taking into account advances in the scientific understanding of animal welfare and international best practices. The authors conclude that improving the effectiveness of animal protection regulations in Canton Ambato requires concrete actions to update and strengthen regulations, ensure adequate resources, promote citizen education, and conduct ongoing research to evaluate and improve animal protection practices. By working together, we can achieve greater protection and welfare for canines and felines in the canton of Ambato.
