La integración de los procesos sustantivos universitarios desde la investigación científica en UNIANDES

Resumen

La integración de las funciones sustantivas (formación, investigación y vinculación con la sociedad) es una necesidad para el buen desempeño de las instituciones de educación superior, pues esto contribuye al cumplimiento de su misión social. La investigación se realiza con el objetivo de evaluar el conocimiento y nivel de integración de los procesos sustantivos universitarios, con enfoque en la investigación científica en UNIANDES. La investigación es predominantemente cualitativa y por su alcance descriptiva, se aplica una encuesta a una muestra representativa de 102 docentes y 20 directivos de la universidad objeto de estudio, la cual evidencia que existe desconocimiento de cuáles son las funciones sustantivas de la educación superior, se le da mayor importancia al proceso de formación muy por encima de la investigación y vinculación con la sociedad, no se reconoce la integración entre los tres procesos por parte de directivos y docentes, no existe claridad en el organigrama funcional de la institución y la gran mayoría de los encuestados consideran que es muy importante abordar el tema de la integración universitaria para el perfeccionamiento de los procesos universitarios.

ABSTRACT

The integration of the substantive functions (education, research and linkage with society) is a necessity for the good performance of higher education institutions, since this contributes to the fulfillment of their social mission. The research is carried out with the objective of evaluating the knowledge and level of integration of the university substantive processes, with a focus on scientific research at UNIANDES. The research is predominantly qualitative and descriptive in scope, a survey was applied to a representative sample of 102 professors and 20 directors of the university under study, which shows that there is a lack of knowledge of the substantive functions of higher education, and greater importance is given to the training process, far above research and links with society, The integration between the three processes is not recognized by managers and teachers, there is no clarity in the functional organization chart of the institution, and the vast majority of those surveyed consider that it is very important to address the issue of university integration for the improvement of university processes.
