Relationship between medical attention and satisfaction of students in Loja educational units, Ecuador

The present study investigated the relationship among the treatment granted by the doctor and the level of satisfaction with the medical care in the students of the Educational Unit Santa Mariana of Jesus, Loja. In answer to the necessity of to guarantee attention centered in the patient and to improve the perception of quality in the services of school health. The objective was to evaluate the relationship among the treatment granted by the doctor and the level of satisfaction with the medical care in the students. A non-experimental, mixed-method, correlational design was applied, using structured surveys in PSQ-18 and EUROPEP to 208 students. The analyses included descriptive statistics, contingency tables, and Spearman correlations. The results showed significant associations between respectful treatment, ease of access, and overall satisfaction. It is concluded that the quality of treatment is a determinant of the perception of service, trust, comfort, and recommendation of the school medical service.
