Abstract

The research addresses the use of collaborative work of the STEAM type that relates science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Its purpose is to relate the teaching-learning process of Physics with situations typical of sport in pre-university education at the school sports initiation school. The purpose is to demonstrate a scientific vision with a STEAM approach, through a didactic model, which contributes to the development of intellectual and practical capacities and the conscious assimilation of a system of knowledge, skills and attitudes, based on the acquisition of facts, knowledge of Physics and its relationship with sport situations in pre-university education. To elaborate and implement the didactic model, an explanatory study, experimental design, pre-experiment with pre-test and post-test for a single group was used. The sample was made up of seven students from the Jorge Agostini Villasana school in Cienfuegos. Descriptive statistics were used with the Wilcoxon W Test. The results corroborate significant differences between the initial and final grades, and mark the progress in the learning of student-athletes. It can be affirmed that the use of the STEAM approach for the learning of Physics in sports schools contributes to the relationship of the contents with situations typical of the sport through theory and practice.
