Abstract

The goal of this research is to present a bibliometric analysis of publications on innovation and its evaluation between 2012 and 2022 based on the compilations of the digital platform Dimensions and the collection of papers from 6 national magazines. The information obtained is processed in the software VOSviewer and the Excel package, quantifying the number of publications per year, the most productive authors and institutions, productivity by country, the most frequent keywords, and national research trends around the term. In addition, classic documentary analysis methods were used with the objective of analyzing the sources of information to obtain the theoretical methodological references, as well as antecedents of bibliometric studies carried out. The results show that scientific papers on innovation have increased significantly in recent years, both internationally and nationally. The institutional and country affiliation of the authors represent a fairly wide field, however, in Cuba it is necessary to increase the number of investigations on the subject, with more prolific authors and international collaboration that allows establishing effective action strategies.
