System of postgraduate pedagogical training of the university teacher

The postgraduate pedagogical training of the university teacher is one of the great challenges of education, and constitutes the basis for the solution of other problems posed to it. It is necessary to carry out efforts to raise the pedagogical training of teachers, which will contribute to a better preparation for the new challenges presented by higher education and teachers, as the main actors of change, they require a training process not only in their discipline but also in their teaching methodology as part of their professional development. The pedagogical training of the teacher corresponds to the need to professionalize university teaching, so it is important to understand it from a notion of change. In whose interest the following objective was determined: To develop a system for the postgraduate pedagogical training of teachers. To this end, a qualitative study and documentary analysis were carried out, a sample of teachers in the institution was selected and unstructured interviews and observations to classes were carried out. Documents on teacher preparation were analyzed. A system of training activities was conceived that assumed the characteristics of flexibility and the developing character of the system. The stages for its implementation were given by: diagnosis of needs, development of the system of activities and impact of the evaluation. Pedagogical training exerted a significant influence on teacher performance, influenced their pedagogical, methodological, didactic and scientific preparation, caused changes in the modes of action of teachers and allowed reflection on pedagogical practice.
