Acupuntura – moxibustión e inmunidad y su relación para tratar el Covid

Resumen

En la actualidad, la situación de la lucha mundial contra COVID-19 es grave. Este trabajo confirma plenamente el éxito del modelo de China contra el COVID-19 realizado en la misión conjunta de China con la OMS (Organización Mundial de la Salud). Es evidente que el modelo de China presenta un poder particular que es el uso de la acupuntura y la moxibustión de la medicina tradicional China. El objetivo de esta investigación es realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre la importancia de la acupuntura-moxibustión en la prevención y el tratamiento de enfermedades infecciosas en el transcurso de la historia destacando su importancia en la regulación del sistema inmunitario para la prevención y control de enfermedades. Se revisaron publicaciones en español e inglés en diferentes páginas Scimago, PubMed, ScIELO, desde enero 2005 a septiembre 2020. Se actualizaron los principales aspectos de la utilización de la acupuntura y la moxibustión en el tratamiento de determinadas patologías dolorosas y su eficiencia en el tratamiento de la artrosis, del dolor cervical y lumbar crónico y otras enfermedades como el COVID-19. La acupuntura como la moxibustión son procedimientos médicos con bases científicas en continuo crecimiento. Su indicación en determinadas patologías dolorosas son claramente favorables, mientras que en otras aún está por definir.

ABSTRACT

Today, the situation in the global fight against COVID-19 is dire. This work fully confirms the success of China's model against COVID-19 carried out in China's joint mission with the WHO (World Health Organization). It is evident that the Chinese model presents a particular power that is the use of acupuncture and moxibustion of traditional Chinese medicine. The objective of this research is to carry out a bibliographic review on the importance of acupuncture-moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases throughout history, highlighting its importance in the regulation of the immune system for the prevention and control of diseases. Publications in Spanish and English were reviewed in different pages Scimago, PubMed, ScIELO, from January 2005 to September 2020. The main aspects of the use of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of certain painful pathologies and their efficiency in the treatment were updated of osteoarthritis, chronic neck and low back pain and other diseases such as COVID-19. Acupuncture like moxibustion are ever-growing scientifically based medical procedures. Its indication in certain painful pathologies is clearly favorable, while in others it is yet to be defined.
