This article examines the hydropower potential of the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions and assesses the economic and environmental advantages of using existing water resources as a renewable energy source. The study discusses artificial intelligence-based models that can be applied to real-time monitoring of river flows in the region, the effectiveness of hydrotechnical facilities, and the optimization of energy production. The results obtained show that the efficient use of local hydro resources can significantly contribute to reducing energy imports, maintaining ecological balance, and sustainable development of the region. The article also presents methodological approaches for the formulation of optimal energy production strategies based on the analysis of hydrometric data.
