Occupational risks in automotive maintenance: analysis of the load lifting index
Abstract
Automotive maintenance, crucial to guarantee the operation of vehicles, involves tasks that expose technicians to occupational risks. This study aimed to analyze the risks associated with lifting loads in this sector, using the lifting index as a quantitative tool. The results revealed that all the activities evaluated exceed the unit index, indicating a significant risk to the health of the operators. The urgent need to implement ergonomic strategies to mitigate occupational risks and the health impact on workers exposed to these activities is highlighted. In conclusion, this analysis provides a basis for future investigations and corrective actions. So it seeks to promote a safe and healthy work environment in automotive maintenance.
