LA CULTURA CIENTÍFICA EN EL TRABAJO COMUNITARIO: EL CASO DE ESTUDIO DE O`BOURKE.

Abstract

El trabajo que se presenta constituye el resultado de una experiencia concreta del fomento de la cultura científica en una comunidad costera y su significado, en particular la Comunidad de O´Bourke. El mismo sustenta la educación ambiental como vía de socialización del conocimiento científico sobre el medio ambiente a partir de las prácticas socioculturales. Por ello, el objetivo de este trabajo es mostrar los resultados alcanzados en la socialización de este conocimiento en el público común, a través de la educación ambiental no formal de la comunidad de estudio. Se realizaron varios talleres comunitarios para diagnosticar la problemática ambiental y posteriormente con niños de la escuela primaria se revisó el área costera para diagnosticar in situs dicha problemática, de manera que, el objeto fundamental estuvo dirigido a la problemática ambiental costera, considerándose temas tan cruciales como el de contaminación y pérdida de la biodiversidad, así como la compleja interrelación que los caracteriza. El conocimiento adquirido por uno de los públicos, los niños, pudo ser confirmado en la jornada científica comunitaria celebrada en saludo al Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, emanando de estas actividades lecciones aprendidas y una metodología que puede ser generalizada a otras comunidades costeras de la región. ABSTRACT The work that appears constitutes the result of a concrete experience of the promotion of the scientific culture in a coastal community and its meaning, in particular the Community of O´Bourke. The same sustains the environmental education like via of socialization of the scientific knowledge on the environment from the sociocultural practices. For this reason, the objective of this work is to show the results reached in the socialization of this knowledge in the common public, through nonformal the environmental education of the study community. Several communitarian factories were realised to diagnose problematic the environmental one and later with children of the primary school the coastal area was reviewed to diagnose in situs problematic happiness, so that, the fundamental object was directed to problematic the environmental coast, considering itself as crucial subjects as the one of lost contamination and of the biodiversity, as well as the complex interrelation characterizes that them. The knowledge acquired by one of the public, the children, could be confirmed in the communitarian scientific day celebrated in greeting to the World-wide Day of the Environment, emanating of these activities learned lessons and a methodology that can be generalized other coastal communities of the region.
