Accesibilidad de las personas LGTBI a la atención integral de salud

Resumen

El estudio se realiza con el objetivo de identificar el nivel de acceso de las personas LGBTI a la atención integral en salud, y los factores que inciden en la inaccesibilidad al servicio de salud, lo cual permite visionar una articulación que mejore la atención para este colectivo. Se realizó un estudio cuali- cuantitativo, bibliográfico, descriptivo, transversal y de campo para determinar e identificar los factores que inciden en la accesibilidad. En los resultados de la investigación se evidencia la realidad percibida en las personas LGBTI, el 78% han referido haber sufrido algún tipo de discriminación sea por el personal de salud o usuarios, el 52% refieren que el personal de salud no identificado su género, expresan presentar miedo, claros tabúes con respecto a la atención de salud, evidenciando discriminación por parte de los usuarios, personal de salud, invisibilización, irrespeto de los derechos, falta de conocimiento del Manual de atención a personas LGBTI. Esta información permitió orientar intervenciones de capacitación de profesionales y al mismo colectivo, para disminuir los factores en la accesibilidad de los servicios de salud, mejorando las barreras para la atención integral y su estado de salud.

ABSTRACT

The study is carried out with the aim of identifying the level of access of LGBTI people to comprehensive health care, and the factors that affect the inaccessibility of the health service, which allows us to envisage an articulation that improves the care for this group. A qualitative, quantitative, bibliographic, descriptive, transversal and field study was carried out to determine and identify the factors that affect accessibility. In the results of the research the reality perceived by LGBTI people is evident, 78% have reported having suffered some kind of discrimination either by health personnel or users, 52% report that health personnel who have not identified their gender, express fear, clear taboos with regard to health care, evidencing discrimination on the part of users, health personnel, invisibility, lack of respect for rights, lack of knowledge of the Manual for the care of LGBTI people. This information allowed the orientation of training interventions for professionals and for the group itself, in order to reduce factors in the accessibility of health services, improving barriers to comprehensive care and their health status.
