Abstract

The educational reforms that Ecuador has implemented since the end of the 20th century have proposed the transformation of traditional teaching by integrating socio-constructivist and critical approaches. Regardless of this, even today, the prevalence of the traditional approach remains a reality. Hence, the objective set is to analyze the impact of Traditional Pedagogy in Private Educational Centers in the Milagro Canton. The present research was developed in four Private Educational Centers in the Milagro Canton, working with a population of 335 students from which a sample of 316 students was selected through intentional non-probabilistic sampling for 94%. The results are analyzed based on the student's opinion about the teacher's actions and the impact of that action on the student. The use of Traditional Pedagogy, focused on the unidirectional transmission of knowledge, limits the development of critical and creative thinking.
