Application of web technologies in the optimization of business processes: Case Study Vetagry – El Triunfo

Authors

Abstract

Nowadays, businesses are increasingly adopting web technologies to optimize their business processes. This article presents a case study based on the implementation of a web system for managing veterinary care and inventory control at the "Vetagry" clinic, located in El Triunfo. Through data collection techniques, several inefficiencies were identified in manual processes such as appointment scheduling, vaccine control, and inventory management, which led to time loss and administrative difficulties. To address these issues, a web system was developed to automate and optimize these processes, using the agile XP methodology. This methodology facilitated communication between the client and the development team, allowing for adaptations to changes during implementation. The system not only improved the clinic's operational efficiency but also ensured the integrity and security of medical data and product inventory. The results obtained after implementation show a significant improvement in the service provided to clients and the clinic's internal management. This system has proven to be a valuable tool for optimizing veterinary processes and enhancing customer satisfaction.
