Focuses on Education for Community Development in the Otomí Tepehua area
Abstract
The importance of the organization and entrepreneurship of indigenous women artisans in different regions of Mexico, highlighting their crucial role in cultural preservation, income generation and strengthening their communities, shows how artisans face challenges such as discrimination, labor exploitation and lack of access to fair markets. However, their ability to organize, form networks and resist structural obstacles highlights their valuable contribution to the economic and cultural development of their communities. It is vitally important that research contains a holistic approach that recognizes and strengthens the social capital of these women, promoting the transmission of traditional knowledge, the promotion of economic autonomy and support for initiatives that promote the sustainable development of indigenous communities in México.
