Dynamizing factors of the professional performance of university teachers
Abstract
The professional performance of the university teacher includes preparation in the different areas of knowledge and general culture, technical-methodological components, research and at the same time socio-emotional. It must be supported by ethical and moral principles from a systemic and dynamic process, in the fulfillment of the corresponding functions, during the conduct and direction of educational processes. The work presented constitutes a profound systematization in this sense, from a descriptive methodology, with a qualitative approach, with the use of theoretical level methods, which leads to the assessment of professional teaching performance in universities, from its description, analysis and interpretation, based on a wide and varied review of information sources, in order to establish their characterization and especially reflect on their driving factors. The study carried out demonstrates that the professional performance of the university teacher is influenced by intrapersonal, interpersonal, and material and infrastructure factors. The necessary continuous training process is highlighted, simultaneous with the improvement of substantive university processes.
