Herida por cuerpo extraño en el tórax. A propósito de un caso

Abstract

El objetivo de esta presentación consistió en exponer el caso de una paciente del sexo femenino que de forma intencional se introduce un cuerpo extraño (rayo de bicicleta) en el tórax; motivo por el cual se exploró la cavidad torácica, no constatándose lesión orgánica en el acto quirúrgico, por lo inusual del caso se decide publicar con el objetivo de exponer las características de un caso clínico con la presencia de un cuerpo extraño intratorácico posterior a un traumatismo penetrante de tórax. El trauma se define como una fuerza externa, estrés o acto de violencia física contra un ser humano. Las heridas por cuerpos extraño intratorácico, a pesar de ser entidad infrecuente, pueden permanecer sin complicaciones, ni limitaciones funcionales en algunos pacientes. El diagnóstico es clínico e imagenológico. El tratamiento de elección, es la realización de pleurostomías mínima alta, media o baja en la mayor parte de los casos.

ABSTRACT

The objective of this presentation was to expose the case of a female patient who intentionally introduces a foreign body (ray of bike) in the chest; which is why we explored the chest cavity, not being verified organic lesion in the surgical act, as it was an unusual case is decided to publish with the aim of exhibiting the characteristics of a clinical case with the presence of a foreign body post intrathoracic penetrating trauma to the chest. The trauma is defined as an external force, stress, or act of physical violence against a human being. The wounds by strange bodies intrathoracic, despite being infrequent entity, can remain without complications, or functional limitations in some patients. The diagnosis is clinical and imaging tests. The treatment of choice, is the realization of minimum pleurostomias high, medium, or low in most cases.
