La ausencia femenina en secundaria. Un camino hacia la igualdad de género

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación plantea una reflexión sobre la desigualdad de género existente en los contenidos del aula de Ciencias Sociales, en el primer curso de secundaria, y las consecuencias que ésta produce entre el alumnado de 12 a 14 años. Para ello, se realizará un recorrido teórico por esta situación con el que se pretende vislumbrar la importancia de trabajar los valores como la conciencia crítica, la asertividad, la responsabilidad social, la libertad y el respeto para abordar necesidades sociales como la equidad. Se concluye que esta problemática debe ser tratada en el centro educativo para conseguir, no solo una formación cívica del alumnado, sino una formación académica completa que le otorgue herramientas para combatir estos estigmas sociales.

ABSTRACT

This article contains a reflection about the gender inequality into the Social Sciences contents in the first year of Secondary and the consequences for students aged 12 to 14. For that, we will take a theoretical tour of this situation. With this reflection it is intended to make visible the importance of working values such as critical awareness, assertiveness, social responsibility, freedom and respect to face social problems such as equity. It is concluded that this problem must be attended in the educational center to achieve not only a civic education of the students but a complete academic training that gives them tools to combat these social stigmas.
