Abstract

As challenges in postgraduate education is the need to improve self-learning through the use of digital teaching strategies. The objective was to describe the state of the scientific literature on the Flipped Classroom through a bibliometric analysis that allowed for the identification of the main search terms (keywords), representative authors, and the most commonly used software on the subject. The research approach is mixed-methods and longitudinal. It is based on the application of theoretical methods combined with empirical and statistical methods (cluster analysis and correlation between variables), along with software tools such as Publish or Perish, EndNote, VosViewer, and Google tools (Trends and Gemini) that support the bibliometric study. As a result, the main keywords, representative authors, and most used software were determined. The keywords identified were: the university; higher education, particularly master’s programs; the methodology and model of the Flipped Classroom; English as a foreign language; the student perspective; the teaching-learning process; the pandemic; the hybrid teaching model; and the use of Google Classroom as free software to implement this methodology.
