Reserva ecológica Arenilla: un potencial turístico en la provincia El Oro

Resumen

La presente investigación ha tenido como fin destacar el protagonismo en la conservación de la diversidad biológica y la provisión de servicios ambientales, así como el potencial turístico, de una de las áreas protegidas más importantes de la provincia El Oro, considerada un patrimonio biológico nacional y mundial, ubicada al suroccidente del Ecuador: la Reserva Ecológica Arenillas.Además de su potencial turístico, considerada/o un patrimonio biológico nacional y mundial, se caracteriza
por proteger ecosistemas secos, donde se encuentra amplia variedad de flora y fauna. (punto y seguido) La iniciativa surge por un proyecto de vinculación, que ha permitido sea visitada la misma. La propuesta se diseña proponiendo un proceso participativo que debe llevarse a cabo entre los diferentes actores- sectores involucrados; fortalece el tejido social y valoriza las tradiciones culturales para integrarlas adecuadamente con las actividades turísticas y toma como prioridad la conservación ambiental integral en todo el territorio. El proyecto está amparado en el paradigma biocéntrico, de enfoque ético, de responsabilidades y valores, donde el hombre sigue siendo dependiente o interdependiente del medio en el que vive, de una manera sostenible.

ABSTRACT
This research was aimed to highlight the leading role in the conservation of biological diversity and the provision of environmental services and tourism potential of one of the most important protected areas in the province of El Oro, considered a national and world biological heritage, located at the southwest of Ecuador: the Arenillas Ecological Reserve. In addition to its tourist potential, considered a national and global ecological heritage, it is characterized by the protection of dry ecosystems, where there is wide variety of flora and fauna. The initiative emerges by a linking project which has enabled it to be visited. The methodology used allows an approach from the National Standards as the constitution of 2008 and the national Plan of Good Living. The proposal is designed proposing a participation process among different stakeholders–sectors involved,
strengthen the social network and increase the appreciation of cultural tradition to integrate them adequately with tourist activities and assumes as a priority the comprehensive conservation of the territory. The project is under the biocentric paradigm, of ethic approach, of responsibilities and values, where man still is dependent or interdependent of the environment where he lives in a sustainable manner.
