Inteligencia emocional y clima laboral en una institución educativa peruana

Resumen

El propósito de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre inteligencia emocional y clima laboral en trabajadores de una institución educativa de Perú. Para medir el nivel de inteligencia emocional se empleó el Inventario de Inteligencia Emocional (BarOn-I-CE) y para medir el clima laboral se empleó la Escala de Clima Laboral (CL-SPC). Los resultados muestran que la inteligencia emocional se encuentra de un nivel predominante de promedio a bajo y en cuanto a clima laboral se encuentra de un nivel predominante de desfavorable a medio. Se utilizó un diseño de investigación correlacional, para determinar la correlación entre variables y, mediante la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman, se halló correlación positiva y significativa entre las variables clima laboral e inteligencia emocional (Rho=,878; p=,000), así como entre sus dimensiones.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of the research was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and work environment in workers at an educational institution in Peru. To measure the level of emotional intelligence, the Emotional Intelligence Inventory (BarOn-I-CE) was used and to measure the work environment, the Work Climate Scale (CL-SPC) was used. The results show that emotional intelligence is at a predominant level of average to low and in terms of work environment it is at a predominant level of unfavorable to medium. A correlational research design was used to determine the correlation between variables and, using Spearman's Rho statistical test, a positive and significant correlation was found between the variables work environment and emotional intelligence (Rho=.878; p=.000). as well as between its dimensions.
