Sostenibilidad e investigación en la educación superior: detección de variables influyentes

Resumen

El presente trabajo propone una metodología para la detección de variables influyentes en la función sustantiva de la investigación en las Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) del Ecuador. Para ello, se aplica la metodología prospectiva adaptada al contexto actual de las universidades regionales latinoamericanas y considerando los objetivos del desarrollo sostenible (ODS). El estudio resultante fue validado con siete expertos a partir del método Delphi detectándose 20 variables de análisis para el sistema, tomadas como referencia de la institución Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi (UPEC). Las variables seleccionadas fueron tratadas a través del análisis de la matriz de impactos cruzados y la multiplicación aplicada a una clasificación (MICMAC) con el fin de evaluar el impacto entre cada una de las variables, los niveles de influencia y dependencia, así como la relación e importancia entre; investigación, gestión empresarial y desarrollo local.

ABSTRACT

This paper proposes a methodology for the detection of influential variables in the substantive function of research in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in Ecuador. For this purpose, the prospective methodology is applied, adapted to the current context of Latin American regional universities, and considering the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The resulting study was validated with seven experts using the Delphi method, identifying 20 variables of analysis for the system, taken as a reference from the institution Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi (UPEC). The selected variables were treated through the analysis of the matrix of cross impacts and multiplication applied to a classification (MICMAC) to evaluate the impact between each of the variables, the levels of influence and dependence, as well as the relationship and importance between research, business management and local development.
