Orígenes, desarrollo histórico y tendencias de la orientación profesional

Resumen

Este trabajo sintetiza las valoraciones de los autores sobre el desarrollo histórico de la orientación profesional en Estados Unidos, Europa y América Latina, con la pretensión de identificar las tendencias de avanzada en el campo y sentar las bases teóricas que permitan contrastar las concepciones prevalecientes en Cuba con las perspectivas y modelos que han predominado internacionalmente, identificando las posibilidades de aplicar, teniendo en cuenta las características de nuestro proyecto educativo, las teorías de vanguardia en este campo. Contiene, además, un acercamiento al proceso de reconceptualización y las posiciones asumidas por los autores en torno al sistema categorial del mismo. El trabajo empleó los métodos: Histórico-lógico, analítico- sintético e inductivo – deductivo. Los resultados alcanzados demuestran la efectividad del estudio donde se muestra que la orientación profesional ha transitado del asesoramiento prescriptivo y directivo, a la concepción del individuo como sujeto activo, protagonista de un proceso de autorreflexión para la toma de decisiones y la transición.

ABSTRACT

This work synthesizes the valuations of the authors on the historical development of the professional guidance in United States, Europe and Latin America, with the pretense of identifying the tendencies of advanced in the field and to seat the theoretical bases that allow to contrast the prevalent conceptions in Cuba with the perspectives and models that have prevailed internationally, identifying the possibilities to apply, keeping in mind the characteristics of our educational project, the theories of vanguard in the field. It contains, also, an approach to the conceptualism process that takes place in this field and the positions assumed by the authors around the system conceptual of the same one. The work used the historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive methods. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the study, where it is shown that professional orientation has moved from prescriptive and managerial advice to the conception of the individual as an active subject, protagonist of a process of self-reflection for decision making and transition.
