La Bella Durmiente, joya de la escultura funeraria en Cienfuegos: aproximación desde lo patrimonial, estético y artístico

Resumen

En el artículo se realiza una aproximación desde lo patrimonial, estético y artístico a la escultura funeraria “La bella durmiente”, emplazada en el Cementerio de Reina, en Cienfuegos. Para ello los autores enfatizan en la apreciación formal de la escultura y declaran los nexos de esta con el patrimonio material local, así como la importancia que hoy se le concede desde las políticas gubernamentales (en el caso cubano) a la protección de los exponentes únicos del patrimonio como vía de salvaguarda de la memoria histórica y documental de la nación. Analizan las potencialidades expresivas de la escultura objeto a exégesis y precisan algunas acciones a considerar para su puesta en valor de uso, específicamente en función de incrementar el atractivo visual y la socialización de esta singular obra escultórica del arte cienfueguero.

ABSTRACT

This article consists of an approach from the heritage, aesthetic and artistic analysis to The Sleeping Beauty funeral sculpture, located in Reina Cemetery, in Cienfuegos city. Taking into account this, the authors emphasize in the formal appreciation of the sculpture and they declare the links of this, with the local material heritage, as well as the importance that today it is granted from the government policy (in the Cuban case) to the protection of the unique exponents of the heritage as a safeguard way of the historical and documentary memoirs of the Cuban nation. They also focus on the expressive potentials from the exegesis of the sculpture and they also promote some tasks to be considered for its value in use, specifically in order to increase the visual attractiveness and the socialization of this peculiar sculptural work of Cienfuegos art.
