Estudio artístico,estético y simbólico de una joya de la artesanía aborigen de Jagua

RESUMEN

Para todos los que de una manera u otra nos hemos dedicado al estudio de nuestras culturas aborígenes, incursionar en el mundo anímico y la cosmovisión de esos pueblos desaparecidos ha sido una necesidad imperiosa si realmente queremos comprender los mensajes que nos legaron en sus manifestaciones artísticas, hayan sido plasmadas en cualquiera de los materiales seleccionados para ello. Todavía son capaces de sorprendernos por sus habilidades artesanales al lograr verdaderas obras de arte en materiales tan duros y tenaces como la piedra, el hueso, las maderas duras y la concha.

La pieza que a continuación describiremos y analizaremos pertenece precisamente a las ejecutadas en esa última materia prima y constituye una verdadera joya del arte mobiliar de los aborígenes de Jagua prehispánica.

ABSTRACT

For that of a way or another we have dedicated ourselves to the study of our native cultures, to penetrate in the psychic world and the cosmovision of those missing towns has been an urgent necessity if we really want to understand the messages bequeathed that us in their artistic manifestations, have been shaped in anyone of the materials selected for it. Still they are able to surprise us by its artisan abilities when obtaining true works of art in so hard and tenacious materials as the stone, the bone, hard wood and the shell. The piece that next we will describe and analyze belongs indeed to the executed ones in that last raw material and constitutes a true jewel of the furniture art of the natives of pre-Hispanic Jagua.
