Inclusión educativa universitaria de madres estudiantes de UPSE

Abstract

La educación inclusiva dentro del contexto universitario es un proceso esencial en la vida del ser humano, en donde la institución de educación superior, en conjunto con las autoridades administrativas, personal docente, estudiantado y empleados, puedan desarrollar sus habilidades y capacidades de manera igualitaria y equitativa. El objetivo de la investigación se centra en describir las características del proceso de Inclusión Educativa Universitaria de las Madres Estudiantes de la Universidad Estatal Península de Santa Elena, en el año 2023. La metodología es de tipo descriptiva con enfoque mixto. El estudio aborda dos técnicas para el levantamiento de información, la encuesta online y la entrevista. Para esto se calculó una muestra de 282 estudiantes madres pertenecientes a la UPSE, al momento de aplicar se obtuvo un total de 308. Los resultados indican que el cuidado de los hijos es un factor de riesgo que incide en el acceso y permanencia de las estudiantes que son madres. Se concluye que, en la Universidad, no se logra evidenciar la implementación de políticas, programas o proyectos que busquen como fin mejorar el proceso inclusivo y la calidad de vida educativa del objeto de estudio. Finalmente, se plantean recomendaciones en correspondencia con los hallazgos obtenidos.

ABSTRACT

Inclusive education within the university context is an essential process in the life of the human being, where the institution of higher education, together with the administrative authorities, teaching staff, students and employees, can develop their skills and abilities in an equal and equitable. The objective of the research is focused on describing the characteristics of the University Educational Inclusion process of the Student Mothers of the Santa Elena Peninsula State University, in the year 2023. The methodology is descriptive with a mixed approach. The study addresses two techniques for collecting information, the online survey and the interview. For this, a sample of 282 student mothers belonging to the UPSE was calculated, at the time of application a total of 308 were obtained. The results indicate that child care is a risk factor that affects the access and permanence of the students that they are mothers It is concluded that, at the University, it is not possible to demonstrate the implementation of policies, programs or projects that seek to improve the inclusive process and the quality of educational life of the object of study. Finally, recommendations are proposed in correspondence with the findings obtained.
