Acontecer económico- social en la ciudad de Manzanillo entre 1895-1898.

Resumen

El objetivo del artículo es caracterizar aspectos económicos y sociales de la ciudad, como vivían los habitantes de la ciudad en medio de una guerra que por demás se desarrollaba en sus campos, demostrando que la ciudad no fue seriamente afectada por este hecho, ya que estaba fuertemente fortificada, creando una visión diferente de la vida en la ciudad. Sobre la Guerra Necesaria existen variados escritos, pero estos se concentran mayormente en los acontecimientos bélicos y aunque algunas urbes son citadas no existe una investigación que refleje el acontecer manzanillero en el período ya citado. Para ello se utiliza una fuente documental en bruto como los Protocolos Notariales, los cuales constituyen un importante reservorio de información. Como métodos teóricos se utilizaron: análisis y crítica de fuentes, como método integrador; los métodos del pensamiento lógico: inducción – deducción, análisis – síntesis y el histórico –lógico, en la valoración de las fuentes durante todo el proceso de investigación. Se tuvieron en cuenta los métodos empíricos dentro de los cuales se usaron como método hermenéutico, en el estudio interpretativo de la pluralidad de conceptos, categorías, proyecciones textuales en torno al tema de investigación; y en la reconstrucción y crítica de fuentes. ABSTRACT

On the Necessary War there are various writings, but these focus mainly on war events and although some cities are cited there is no research that reflects the events of Manzanillo in the period already mentioned. For this, a raw documentary source is used, such as the Notarial Protocols, which constitute an important reservoir of information. This research is focused on the economic and social aspects, how the inhabitants of the city lived in the middle of a war that was developing in their fields, showing that the city was not seriously affected by this fact, since it was heavily fortified, creating a different vision of life in the city. The theoretical methods used were: analysis and criticism of sources, as an integrating method; the methods of logical thinking: induction - deduction, analysis - synthesis and historical-logical, in the assessment of sources throughout the research process. The empirical methods within which they were used as a hermeneutical method were taken into account, in the interpretive study of the plurality of concepts, categories, textual projections around the research topic; and in the reconstruction and criticism of sources.
