Curso virtual de Infotecnología en tiempos de COVID-19: Una experiencia en la maestría en Dirección

Resumen

La Covid-19 ha hecho que muchas universidades recurran a la educación virtual, aunque no la tengan concebida dentro de su modelo educacional. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo evaluar los resultados alcanzados en el curso virtual de Infotecnología de la Maestría en Dirección, de la Universidad de Granma, impartido en tiempos de pandemia. Se trabajó un enfoque cuantitativo, una investigación exploratorio-descriptivo, con un diseño no experimental. La muestra estuvo conformada por 24 estudiantes. Los principales resultados destacan un escenario tecnológico adecuado que le permite conectarse y llevar a cabo sus actividades investigativas. El 95,83% de los sujetos refieren haber recibido apoyo de los facilitadores desde el punto de vista técnico y académico. La prueba de Chi cuadrado, confirma que la calidad del curso influye de forma positiva en el nivel de adquisición de nuevos conocimientos y habilidades en la búsqueda y gestión de la información, por parte de los alumnos. Se concluye que el estudio desarrollado permitió mostrar la efectividad del curso ante la presencia de la situación sanitaria, pudiéndose determinar que es viable continuar con las acciones formativas en línea de la maestría.

ABSTRACT

Covid-19 has made many universities turn to virtual education, although they do not have it conceived within their educational model. The objective of this research is to evaluate the results achieved in the virtual course of Infotechnology of the Master in Management, of the University of Granma, taught in times of pandemic. A quantitative approach was used, an exploratory-descriptive investigation, with a non-experimental design. The sample consisted of 24 students. The main results highlight an adequate technological scenario that allows you to connect and carry out your investigative activities. 95.83% of the subjects report having received support from the facilitators from a technical and academic point of view. The Chi square test confirms that the quality of the course positively influences the level of acquisition of new knowledge and skills in the search and management of information, by students. It is concluded that the study developed allowed to show the effectiveness of the course in the presence of the health situation, being able to determine that it is feasible to continue with the online training actions of the master's degree.
