Resumen

El análisis de la gestión en las áreas protegidas (AP), requiere establecer un sistema que permita la determinación de la valoración económica (VE) de bienes y servicios ecosistémicos (BSE), herramienta que posibilita la obtención de información para el adecuado proceso de toma de decisiones en pos del desarrollo sostenible. La investigación tiene como objetivo diseñar estrategias de apoyo al manejo integral del AP con categoría de reserva ecológica Caletones en la provincia Holguín. Se realizó la VE, se seleccionaron cinco BSE que destacan en el área por su contribución económica e importancia científica y educativa: apicultura, pesca, turismo de naturaleza, investigación y educación y silvicultura. Para alcanzar el objetivo, se asume la VE como el diagnóstico que permitirá la identificación de fortalezas, debilidades, oportunidades y amenazas para la elaboración de la matriz DAFO y el posterior diseño de estrategias. Los BSE seleccionados se establecen según la clasificación de Evaluación de los Ecosistemas del Milenio y el Valor Económico Total. Se emplearon además los métodos: dialéctico materialista, DELPHI, investigación documental, entrevista, observación directa a través del trabajo de campo. Con la información obtenida se identificó un valor económico parcial anual de los BSE del área de estudio de 686 728,93 CUP.

ABSTRACT

The analysis of management in protected areas (PA), requires the establishment of a system that allows the determination of the economic valuation (EV) of ecosystem goods and services (ESB), a tool that makes it possible to obtain information for the adequate decision-making process in pursuit of sustainable development. The objective of the research is to design strategies to support the comprehensive management of the PA with the Caletones ecological reserve category in the Holguín province. The VE was carried out, five BSE were selected that stand out in the area for their economic contribution and scientific and educational importance: beekeeping, fishing, nature tourism, research and education, and forestry. To achieve the objective, the VE is assumed as the diagnosis that will allow the identification of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the elaboration of the SWOT matrix and the subsequent design of strategies. Selected BSEs are established based on the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment ranking and Total Economic Value. The methods were also used: dialectical materialist, DELPHI, documentary research, interview, direct observation through field work. With the information obtained, a partial annual economic value of the BSE in the study area of 686,728.93 CUP was identified.
