Desacuerdos en la disciplina de los hijos. Valoraciones desde la psicología

Resumen

Una de las cuestiones a tener en cuenta al momento de contraer matrimonio es la forma de educación que será impartida a los futuros hijos de la pareja. Si los padres provienen de hogares con diferentes estilos de educación y no han realizado las tareas prematrimoniales que son prescritas para todo cristiano, es probable que se les dificulte ponerse de acuerdo en cómo educar y corregir las actitudes erradas de sus hijos e hijas. A menudo, los desacuerdos surgen de la forma en la que se educa o se disciplina a los hijos, cuando se tiene madres que desautorizan a sus padres o viceversa, o madres sobreprotectoras de sus hijos, que los vuelven inútiles para la sociedad, o padres que imprimen en sus retinas acciones de mal ejemplo como violencia, agresión, ofensas, alcoholismo, drogadicción, promiscuidad, etc. Estos desacuerdos sociales y familiares provocan inestabilidad y rebeldía en los niños y adolescentes, resultando que adquieren patrones de conducta equivocados, a veces impartidos por sus propias familias o sus educadores, o sufren desafectos familiares y se desestabilizan, desembocando en tendencias delictivas, en casos extremos, por la falta de atención oportuna y profesional.

ABSTRACT

One of the issues to take into account at the time of marriage is the form of education that will be imparted to the future children of the couple. If parents come from homes with different styles of education and have not performed the premarital tasks that are prescribed for all Christians, it is likely that they will find it difficult to agree on how to educate and correct the wrong attitudes of their sons and daughters. Often, disagreements arise from the way in which children are educated or disciplined, when you have mothers who disavow their fathers or vice versa, or mothers who are overprotective of their children, who make them useless for society, or fathers that imprint on their retina’s actions of bad example such as violence, aggression, offenses, alcoholism, drug addiction, promiscuity, etc. These social and family disagreements cause instability and rebellion in children and adolescents, resulting in them acquiring wrong patterns of behavior, sometimes taught by their own families or their educators, or suffering family disaffection and becoming destabilized, leading to criminal tendencies, in extreme cases, due to the lack of timely and professional attention.
